Since his early years, Alban Lerailler has been driven by an endless curiosity for the inner workings of machines and the elegance of the cars that carry them.

His passion for mechanics was sparked while working alongside his father, diligently repairing vintage Ducati motorcycles. This father-son partnership was the spark that ignited his love of machines. The hours spent repairing these mechanical marvels fueled his intimate understanding of how they worked and strengthened his determination to create inspiring works of art that celebrate the very essence of mechanics.

However, Alban was not content with turning socket wrenches and manipulating gears. Encouraged by his mother, a talented art teacher, he also discovered his love for the visual arts at a young age. Pencil in one hand and wrench in the other, he forged a unique path by combining his passion for machines with his talent for capturing their essence on paper.

After studying automotive engineering, Alban Lerailler followed his heart and fully embraced his passion for automotive design. In 2019, he joined the prestigious ISD automotive design school where he refined his technical skills and developed a precise artistic vision of his own. The year 2021 was marked by participation in one of the largest automotive design competitions in the world, the "Young Designer Award" where Alban finished as a finalist.

Driven by an unquenchable thirst to create, Alban Lerailler embraced a new chapter in his artistic career by launching into the creation of works of art inspired by the designers' boards. Through his creations, he sought to convey the artistic and technical approach of the designers, while paying tribute to iconic models that have marked automotive history.

The artist has developed a unique method to tell the story of the creation of these mechanical objects through drawing and watercolor painting. His distinctive style subtly blends the technical precision of the ballpoint pen stroke, which is one of the iconic instruments of designers, with the softness and fluidity of watercolor colors. Each line and shade of color is carefully chosen to capture the soul

Alban Lerailler also maintains various collaborations with several brands: he notably had the opportunity to collaborate with Galeries Lafayette and their Louis Pion boutiques in Paris.

Motivated by these enriching experiences, Alban continues to explore new artistic avenues. His future project is to further broaden his field of expression by experimenting with mixed techniques, sometimes incorporating real mechanical elements into his works...
